This exhibit presents a selection of women who owned real estate or businesses in New Orleans during the 19th and early 20th centuries. The exhibit uses municipal and civil court records, directories, newspapers, and other sources in the Louisiana Division/City Archives to illustrate who these women were and how they represent the spirit of female enterprise in New Orleans.
